- ASL - American Sign Language Browser - Michigan State University's ASL Browser web site, an online American Sign Language (ASL) browser where you can look up video of thousands of ASL signs and learn interesting things about them. This web site was created in 1997 to provide an online sign language resource.
- ASL - National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders - The National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) is one of the Institutes that comprise the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
- ASL- American Sign Language Fingerspelling - Provides an interactive demonstration of using individual letter signs for creating words. Enter a word and see the word spelled. Also includes a quiz.
- Communication- History Channel Speeches - An audio and video collection of famous American speeches in the fields of politics, sports, entertainment, art and science.
- Communications - Ask Oxford - (C&P) A site dedicated to words and language. Lots of fun information as well as links to other sites and a searchable imformation base.
- Communications - Meanings and Origins of Phrases, Sayings and Idiom - (C) An alphabetical listing of phrases, proverbs, euphemisms, etc. Find the meaning of phrases in popular culture, literature, etc. with this site's free dictionary section. Searching phrases for a particular concept, as you would a thesaurus, requires a fee.
- Communications- American Rhetoric - site has a searchable speech bank with over 5,000 speeches in a variety of formats. It also has links to communication journals and associations
- French- Tex's French Grammar - A user-friendly guide to French grammar. Individual grammar items are explained in English. The site also includes self-correcting fill-in-the-blank exercises.
- General Languages- Bing language translation - This site allows you to translate words, phrases and documents to or from English and many other languages.
- General Languages- ESOL Flash Cards - Download hundreds of free flash cards. Every set of flashcards comes in color and 3 different sizes to make teaching easier. The Big set is great for vocabulary presentation, the Medium set is good for teaching small groups of students and playing language learning games. The Small sets of pictures are great for ESL games such as Down-Pass or Go Fish.

Authors include Guy de Maupassant, Dorothy Gilman, Harriet Beecher Stowe, and hundreds more. Site is a combination of original biographical sketches, critical essays, and links.
