LIS 1001: Library Skills
Self-paced course offered through the auspices of the LRC faculty and staff. This course is intended to help you learn how to make effective and efficient use of library resources to identify and retrieve the information you need.
If you have questions, please contact the Access Services Librarian, Rhonda Trueman, 729-5316
LIS 2004
Created as a joint project by the community college libraries of Florida and became the first college credit course at Northwest Florida State College to be delivered entirely online.
The primary focus of this course is using the Internet for research purposes. The ability to use a computer is assumed in this course and is not covered. If you are not comfortable using a computer, you may be better served by enrolling in a computer literacy course. In addition, you need to determine if you are able to function in a self-directed course environment. It is suggested that you determine this by reviewing the Distance Learning Self Evaluation.
LIS 2004 is offered only as an online distance learning course.
