Navigating the enormous amount of information available on the Internet, in the LRC databases, in books and in reference materials can be overwhelming for your students. Let us help you, help them, with their research assignments by showing them where and how to find the information they need.
While planning your syllabus for the next term, please contact us to set up a time for your class to visit the Niceville campus LRC or for us to visit your class at any NWFSC location. Please send your requests to LRCInstruction@nwfsc.edu.
Remember that we like to customize each presentation to your particular class of students, so the information you give us is important.
When you send your request, please tell us:
- the day and time you would like us to visit your class or bring them to the LRC computer lab
- if we are visiting you, where does your class meet (building and room number) and is there is an LCD projector in the room? (We can sometimes reserve a computer lab at the centers for you.)
- the name of the course and what kind of research your students will be doing or what you would like us to show them
In addition to physically visiting your class, we also have research guides, and Power Point and Tegrity tutorials for your students to use. These can be found on the LRC website (http://lrc.nwfsc.edu). We try to anticipate your needs, but we will be happy to come up with something unique to meet a particular research assignment.
